Zum Internationaler Frauentag, 8 März haben Susy Oesterreicher und Shirley Rodrigues zur Roda de mulheres in der Academia Jangada, Berlin eingeladen. Eine wirklich gute Sache und ich hoffe einen Teil der positiven Energie kommt durch die Videos an.

The Academia Jangada was the first school for Capoeira Angola to be established in Europe, on July 19th 1997. Its founders are Mestre Rosalvo and Contra-Mestra Susy.

My Djembé got some wicked sounds, when played by a professional drummer, was nice to hear. I bought the drum from Josef Bachmeier, he is a professional “Instrument Maker”.

Marcelo took us to a Roda from Mestre Chaminé in Rio de Janeiro. Mestre Chaminé is a real good musician and he was leading the game with a lot of energy and attention.
